Naspers, the South African concern, has commenced a due diligence of the companies belonging to Forticom, the owner of a popular Polish social networking portal Nasza-Klasa.pl. Forticom, owned in 75% by Digital Sky Technologies (DST), is also the owner of such popular social networks as Odnoklassniki.ru in Russia and One.lv & One.lt in Latvia and Lithuania, respectively. In turn, Nasper owns Gadu-Gadu, the popular Polish internet messaging service, Allegro.pl auction portal and Bankier.pl, financial portal.
According to unofficial information, the merger is possible between Nasza-Klasa.pl and Gadu-Gadu. The two services operating together could have greater advertising possibilities and lower costs related to such services.
Both Naspers and DST do not comment on the matter.
