Esteban González Pons, spokesman for the Regional Government of Valencia (Generalitat Valenciana), has announced that the entire regional administration would migrate to open source software (OSS) during the next term of the regional parliament, due to start in 2005. Switching to free software, he said, has become a democratic duty for public administrations.
