TASHKENT – A September 16 Uzbek Cabinet of Ministers resolution calls for creating a state-run, anti-hacking centre and an e-government centre, Norma.uz reported September 22. Both centres would fall under the auspices of the State Committee for Communication, Informatisation and Telecommunication Technologies.
The anti-hacking centre would protect government agencies' information systems and resources, define and analyse threats to information security, and devise solutions to information security problems facing the Uzbek effort to institute e-government.
