Obama: Google to Improve Cubans' Internet Access

Cuba’s notoriously restrictive Internet climate may be warming to more access, based on comments made by U.S. President Barack Obama and a Google scientist in recent days. Currently, as few as 5 percent of Cubans have access, according to an international watchdog group.

The Internet’s address book is the domain name system (DNS) and the organization that manages it is ICANN or the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.

Yesterday, Huawei Enterprise Business Group launched innovative solutions and partnerships under its new marketing slogan — “Leading New ICT, Building a Better Connected World” at CeBIT 2016, the world’s largest ICT trade fair, which is being held from March 14 to 18.

Estonia has been praised for its use and development of Digital Public Services ranking first within the EU, according to the recently published DESI rankings. Overall, Estonia made gains according to the report moving up one spot to number 7 in the EU. “Estonia has been at the forefront of online public services for a few years is the best performing country in Europe in 2016,” the report states.

ver the years, Liberia has made strides in every sector especially in ICT sector. As a result these strides, we have adopted comprehensive e-government and open government programs that involve the use of the internet and its technologies to enable traditional government processes and practices for enhancement of democracy.
