European Digital Skills and Jobs Platform: project team starts work

The work on the European Digital Skills and Jobs Platform has started in September. The objective is to develop and manage a key tool for boosting digital skills in Europe. It will offer information, resources, overview of training and funding opportunities and a community space for networking and collaboration both on European and national level.

Google will train Lithuanian residents, businesses

Technology giant Google will train 10,000 people in Lithuania in 2020 and 2021 to use means of electronic communication. Moreover, Google will also help crisis-hit businesses to make a faster move into the digital sphere to find new markets and enter the global market, informs LETA/BNS.

A modern EU budget with a coherent and comprehensive support for building up digital skills in Europe

On 13 June 2018 the European Commission put forward ambitious yet realistic proposals for a modern EU budget. These proposals reflect rapid developments in innovation, the economy, the environment and geopolitics, amongst others. The proposal foresees a coherent and comprehensive support for building up the digital skills needed in Europe. Funding is envisaged for interventions at all levels – from basic to advanced digital skills – through a variety of programmes, each intervening with their specificities and according to their mission.
